How Our Beach Mates Got Their Identity

At Aussie Wind Wall, we’ve always believed that the best products come with a story. Every windbreak we’ve designed is more than just fabric and poles — it’s a chapter from our own family adventure across Australia. The names of each Beach Mate aren’t random. They’re inspired by the beaches that shaped our journey — from the first sandy step to the most unforgettable moments.

Here’s the story behind each one:

Surfers – The Beginning of It All

Surfers Paradise was the first beach we ever visited in Australia, back in 2019. We’d just arrived, unsure of what lay ahead, and this iconic stretch of sand welcomed us with sun, energy, and a spark of adventure that hasn’t left us since. The bold blue and white stripes of the Surfers Beach Mate were made to capture that day — full of light, motion, and new beginnings.

Fraser – Wild, Remote, Unforgettable

Fraser Island was one of our biggest off-grid escapes. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by nothing but sand, forest, and sky. From swimming in Lake McKenzie to navigating the endless tracks, Fraser left a mark. The lush green and white pattern of the Fraser model nods to the island’s rugged beauty — wild but peaceful, tough but calm.

Teewah – Crystal Waters & Turtle Watch

Just north of Noosa, Teewah Beach gave us one of the most magical days we’ve ever had. The water was so clear it looked like glass, and we watched turtles swim by just off Double Island Point. We remember the girls pointing and shouting in excitement, completely mesmerised. That memory lives on in the cool, geometric blue of the Teewah Beach Mate — calm, clean, and full of natural wonder.

Burleigh – Where Beach Meets Bush

Burleigh was the first place that felt like home. With its blend of surf culture and laid-back living, it gave us weekends filled with fish and chips on the hill, long walks under the Norfolk pines, and the joy of watching our girls play under dappled light. The tropical print of the Burleigh Beach Mate is a tribute to that perfect mix — leafy, coastal, and unmistakably Aussie.
